As an Associate Database Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations and maintaining production databases to meet application requirements and company standards. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Assist in performing installations and configurations of grid infrastructure, databases, clients etc.
  • Maintain standards of access and security administration
  • Create and maintain backup and recovery strategies on database management Systems
  • Support multiple services and multiple databases of medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of data
  • Troubleshoot alerts (alert log, Jobs, Disk Group, Tablespace etc.) and performance issues
  • Perform database performance tuning tasks
  • Utilize a monitoring and diagnostics tool and identifies/resolves the performance issues
  • Represent the database operations team working closely with clients and partners

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience

  • 0-2 years of database technologies knowledge or any operating systems

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Knowledge of any database technologies and day to day database operations
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations
  • Basic understanding of change management, problem, and incident management
  • Basic understanding of operating systems, storage platforms and network technology
  • Basic understanding of database software installation and configuration
  • Basic understanding and knowledge in writing efficient database queries and procedures
  • Basic understanding of any database technologies and provisioning of databases

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Database technologies certifications
  • Public cloud platform certifications
  • Project management certifications
  • Leadership training

Experience

  • Public cloud database technologies experience

Skills

  • Knowledge in any database technologies such as oracle, MSSQL. NoSQL (Mongodb or Redis), PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge in database management systems or relational database systems
  • Knowledge in infrastructure components such as server hardware configurations, virtualization configurations and storage
  • Knowledge in database key performance indicators such as database uptime, data availability, database performance and query performance
  • Good presentation skills

The base pay for this position generally is between $90,900.00 and $97,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
