BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

You will work with our vendors and boundary partners to define requirements and develop solutions for implementation. You have strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of Network Operation Center tools and best practices and how to integrate them to impact business objectives. You objectively analyze projects and opportunities, summarize complex technical concepts, and make recommendations. You collaborate with multiple teams, communicating professionally, inspiring and mentoring junior technical leaders.

WHAT OUR PRINCIPAL ENGINEERS ENJOY THE MOST

  • Design, evaluate, enhance, and troubleshoot systems and processes with a continual service improvement mindset.
  • Improve existing ecosystem through a detailed analysis and revision of existing programs.
  • Ensure that all technical integrations, designs, processes, standards, and changes are accurately documented.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams, testing and reviewing work plans and system designs.
  • Mitigate risks by adhering to industry standards and specific local, state and federal regulations.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Job Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Five (5+) years of hands-on engineering and project management work experience.  

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.    

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP cable, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols.

    • Understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI model.

    • Familiar with ticketing and software tools, network devices and network appliances.

    • Proficient in network designing software and Microsoft Office.

  • Skills and Abilities:

    • English communication skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Experience in a Network Operations Center environment.
  • Experience with Blue Planet Unified Assurance and Analytics and other observability tools.
  • Conceptual / Practical Experience: NMS, EMS, SIEM, APM, Log Agg tools, Python, Bash, Powershell, REST API, SNMP, Netconf/YANG, SQL, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud VPC, AI/ML.
