The base pay for this position generally is between $126,300.00 and $246,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

As Senior Director, Data Center, you will lead strategic initiatives that ensure our critical infrastructure remains robust, scalable and reliable across multiple sites. Join a leadership team that drives operational excellence and supports business continuity and growth. Your vision will directly influence performance and innovation throughout our organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Direct strategic direction for data center operations and critical infrastructure performance across the enterprise
- Lead directors and senior leaders to ensure service continuity, facility reliability and technical support
- Establish functional standards for safety, compliance, maintenance, change governance and operational readiness
- Oversee capital strategy, operating model design, budget planning, resource allocation and vendor management
- Drive alignment across engineering, network operations, construction, procurement, finance and business leadership
- Evaluate operational trends, capacity forecasts, financial performance and business requirements to guide organizational decisions
- Sponsor continuous improvement efforts to enhance uptime, efficiency, standardization and service delivery
Working Conditions

- Work performed near power facilities and electricity
- Travel required
- Ability to work while standing 10-25% of the time

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience in science, technology, engineering, electronics or related discipline
- Trade/apprenticeship training or discipline-specific licenses/certifications considered for equivalent experience alignment
Experience
- 10+ years of data center technician, electronics, network implementation, critical infrastructure or related hands-on technical experience
- 10+ years of leadership, supervisory or project leadership experience
- 8+ years of project management experience
Skills
- Ability to lead large multi-level organizations in a 24x7 mission-critical environment
- Ability to set strategic direction and translate business objectives into operating plans
- Ability to lead through complexity, scale and organizational change
- Exceptional communication, leadership and executive presence
- Expert knowledge of data center operations, critical infrastructure systems and mission-critical environments
- Strong knowledge of operational governance, capital planning, reliability strategy, risk management and performance improvement
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generator, fire suppression, monitoring/control and related facility systems
- Ability to analyze operational, financial, capacity and risk information at an enterprise level
- Ability to lead leaders, influence executive stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide alignment
- Ability to operate computers, software applications and business systems associated with the position
- Ability to work in high stress, fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Certifications related to optical transport, critical infrastructure or data center operations
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance or related field
- Executive, leadership or industry certifications related to critical infrastructure, project delivery, operations or business management
Experience
- 7+ years of enterprise, multi-region or large-scale operations leadership experience
Skills
- Knowledge of Spectrum products and services
- Knowledge of NEC, IMC and local/wide area networking communications
- Knowledge of enterprise data center strategy, critical infrastructure lifecycle planning and mission-critical operations
- Ability to lead enterprise-scale capital, operational and transformation initiatives
- Ability to manage complex vendor ecosystems, budgets and organizational structures
- Ability to influence executive strategy and organizational priorities across multiple business units
