You define requirements and develop solutions for system design and configuration. You possess an in-depth knowledge of automation tools for internal networks and how to work with design teams to integrate them into our toolset. You objectively summarize and analyze projects and make recommendations. You collaborate with teams in person and digitally within an office environment.
How you can make a difference:
Design, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in an assigned area.
Improve logic difficulties and documentation through a detailed analysis and revision of existing programs.
Ensure that all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation is accurate through technical support.
Mentor and guide technical teams and test and review work plans and system design.
Mitigate risks by adhering to industry-specific local, state and federal regulations.
What you bring to Spectrum Business
Required qualifications:
Experience: Five or more years of hands-on engineering and project management work experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Technical skills: Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP cable, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols; Understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI model; Familiar with ticketing and software tools, network devices and network appliances; Proficient in network designing software and Microsoft Office.
Skills: English communication skills.
Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of company products and services.
Advanced knowledge of Troubleshooting Spectrum Business Video Products
Advanced Knowledge in FC+ RPHY Platform (vCMTS, PSX, RPDs) as well as FC+ IP handoff and TVSA Spectrum U
Advanced Knowledge in configuration/migration of Legacy devices such as NSG40, NSG6, DCMs, APEX1000, APEX1500, Arris D5, RFGW1, ATX UCrypt, TC600E.
Advanced knowledge of Troubleshooting Spectrum Business Data & Security Products
Advanced Knowledge in configuration/migration of Data products like Meraki MX routers, MS switches, Fortinet firewalls, and Fortinet switches.
Good understanding of Spectrum Business Voice products like Unified communications, PRI, SIP Trunk services.

The base pay for this position generally is between $100,600.00 and $214,200.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
