Are you passionate about building robust data platforms that drive business decisions? As a Data Infrastructure Engineer III at Spectrum, you will design and implement scalable data storage and processing systems using cutting-edge cloud technologies to ensure high availability and reliability. Your expertise will help Spectrum maintain secure, resilient, and high-performing data solutions that support mission-critical operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deploy, configure, and manage the operations of new functionality that is testable and performant, network-attached storage (NAS/Object), storage area networks (SAN), and cloud-based storage solutions
- Support and maintain backup systems (on-prem and cloud) to ensure data integrity and recovery. Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot issues related to backups and restores
- Perform routine checks and monitoring of storage and backup infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Maintain accurate documentation on data storage configurations, backup policies, and disaster recovery plans. Provide regular status reports on backup health and storage utilization
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and software developers, to address infrastructure needs and ensure data availability
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to data storage, backup failures, or system performance bottlenecks. Identify fixes to defects raised during troubleshooting procedures
- Continuously expand your technical skillset through hands-on experience, training, and exposure to new tools and technologies in the field of data storage and backup solutions.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience
- 1+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Knowledge of DellEMC Storage products
- Knowledge of Cisco/Broadcom Fiber Channel products
- Knowledge of Cohesity backup products
- Knowledge of Pure storage products
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of data storage solutions (NAS, SAN, and cloud-based storage like AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage)
- Intermediate understanding of backup software tools (e.g., Veeam, CommVault, NetBackup, or similar)
- Intermediate understanding of data protection and recovery concepts, including file-level and image-based backups
- Intermediate knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks and IP or Fiber Channel networking for the purpose of storage connectivity
- Intermediate understanding of Network Shares, SMB or NFS with host level connectivity concepts
- Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and server environments
- Intermediate understanding of different hardware lifecycle processes and familiar with ITIL practices
- Strong analytical and understanding of AD access control lists to troubleshoot and fix defects identified
- Intermediate knowledge of Change Control concepts and security methodologies as relating to cyber security and disaster recovery
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
