BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Lead Voice Engineer, you’ll be responsible for product deployments and will be the lead for supporting server software installations performed by development, test, and deployment teams. You will also be responsible to ensure the day-to-day operations of the voice platforms.
WHAT OUR LEAD VOICE ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST
Working with voice engineers, developers, testers, and deployment teams to create software deployment plans
Writing and updating automated scripts for deployment of application software products
Configuring necessary hardware and operating environments as needed
Working with voice engineers, developers and hardware teams to update infrastructure and OS for applications
Monitoring systems performance and reliability across the voice complex
Mentoring team members and leading project related meetings
In this role you will be the first line of contact for production issues and team escalations. You’ll troubleshoot system and data issues for our national voice systems. You will excel in this role if you can work independently under limited direction and serve as a leader while working in teams. You will drive strategic vision and ensure it is driving forward to future proof the systems within the voice environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Experience: Dynamic scripting language: 7 or more years; Deploying software: 7 or more years; Linux or other Unix systems: 7 or more years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
Skills: Supporting Contact Center Technology stacks (e.g. Avaya Aura Application Suite, Genesys, Amazon Connect), Oracle SBC. Extensive SIP knowledge, Linux, VMware or other VM technologies, Containers; Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Abilities: Write clear technical documentation for use by team members; Handle multiple assignments simultaneously; Thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Facilitate team consensus, and interact with leadership and implementation teams; Problem solve, identify and resolve complex issues as part of a team
Hybrid Schedule: Four in-office days weekly
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Working with agile teams; Supporting HAProxy/Nginx InfluxDB, Grafana, Docker and deploying Docker containers; Atlassian suite of products such as Jira, Confluence, FishEye, and Crucible; Java Programming; Shell scripting environments like Bash, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Python, Scripting abilities, Software source control tools such as Perforce of GitHub; Monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Grafana)
Knowledge: Understanding of robust software development processes and software configuration management policies
