Do you have the expertise to proactively reduce the risk of cyber threats to Spectrum’s business? As a Security Engineer III, Information Security, you will collaborate with internal and external IT departments and business stakeholders to identify security deficiencies and emerging risks. You will engage in continuous monitoring of information security controls, analyzing and reporting results to ensure ongoing protection. You will also ensure accurate and timely completion of initiatives to reduce the risk of cyber threats facing the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Act as an intermediate lead in the design of new functionality based on guidance from senior engineers and standards
Use intermediate knowledge of networking concepts, features, functions, and definitions to mentor junior members on processes
Create advanced scripts in one language with minimal guidance (PowerShell, Python) and interpret scripts in another language
Create security tooling requirements, technical design document creation, and be able to create documentation with guidance from leadership
Execute compliance and assurance processes with minimal guidance from senior engineers

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in BA or BS management information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, and/ or business-related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Experience
1+ years information security and/or corporate risk work experience
1+ years information assurance, risk, and cybersecurity program governance experience
Skills
Intermediate knowledge of related IT/cybersecurity experience with system or networking administration support
Intermediate understanding of CIS baselines for various operating systems, can explain intent and implementation to stakeholders
Intermediate knowledge of security frameworks such as PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, cybersecurity and/or other federal, state and industry areas of compliance
Intermediate knowledge of security system configuration, OS (operating systems), IP networks, and database and application functionality
Ability to collaborate well with others to facilitate and schedule and coordinate required monitoring
Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership, internal/external departments and peers and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated in-depth analytical and critical thinking skills to identify patterns or indicators of non-compliance
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years of Identity Security Engineering experience supporting:
Encryption and multi-factor authentication technologies.
Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM): Experience with enterprise-grade solutions, preferably Venafi or equivalent platforms.
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI): Strong background in PKI Administration, ideally Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
SaaS Security: Familiarity with securing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
Administrative Skills: Proven capability in managing identity and security-related infrastructure.
Linux/Microsoft OS and application engineering and operations experience including, but not limited to, installation and implementation, patching and package installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Experience writing scripts in PowerShell and one other scripting language
Experience guiding or leading Security Engineers is desirable.
