The Sr. Mgr, HR Analytics is responsible for leading all aspects of HR reporting, analytics, and data integrity. This role will establish functional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful support of HR reporting. This role will be charged with gathering key HR metrics to tell the talent story, in partnership with the HR leaders, through data which supports business decisions. Lastly this role will be looked at to continually improve data processes and outputs and be asked to create new metrics to evolve and improve the organization.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Design, build and extract large and complex data sets while partnering with HR, learning and Recruiting teams across business lines
  • Collaborate across HR and the business units to work on continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the overall HR and Charter business strategies
  • Work closely with HR leadership to understand business unit priorities and initiatives and determine what data and analysis can be most beneficial in supporting organizational efforts
  • Analyze and portray information based on a host of HR-related data and performance indicators
  • Create reports, prepare analyses and make predictions based on data and analysis
  • Continuously evolve and improve analytic and HR processes
  • Prepare recommendations for decisions based on data and analysis
  • Present both high-level and detailed information to senior executives as well as front line managers
  • Partner with HR Strategic Business Partners with their information needs around workforce planning and other efforts and provide ideas for improvement

  • Design and evolve ad hoc and standard reports for ongoing customer needs
  • Project manage large scale HR projects where data plays a major role in completing e.g. performance management
  • Create new data collection methods
  • Implement new reports to inform business decisions
  • Manage large volume, heterogeneous data sets
  • Manage a team of HR Analytics professionals.
  • Lead large-scale data studies and perform exploratory data analysis for new data sources or new uses of existing data sources
  • Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insight to users
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to analyze and understand human capital management
  • Perform other duties as requested.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Systemic thinking of data relationships and causes of problems
  • Ability to understand what the data means to the Business
  • Demonstrated problem-solving orientation
  • Analytical skills as well as writing, presentation and data visualization skills
  • Ability to prioritize work streams to achieve the maximum business value
  • Great cross-group collaboration and strong team player
  • Must be self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL Query, OLAP, MOLAP, ROLAP, Excel and Tableau
  • Understand the design and implementation of data warehousing, relational databases, and post relational databases
  • Ability to solve complex business problems using data while developing/leading a team

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, AI, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Analysis or other related field or equivalent experience (e.g. BI and/or database management certifications)

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Data manipulation and statistical modeling experience in a
large scale data, transactional, and real time networks and systems - 7+
Business Intelligence project management - 5+

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics Solutions project

Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Relevant corporate experience in a large Fortune 500 company
Experience in languages such as VB, .net, C#, C++

Office environment
Travel as required
