The VP, Software Development - CPE position will have responsibility for the engineering software operational systems, processes, tools and teams. This role will build and lead teams that create, build and maintain comprehensive full featured Development and Engineering Production environments used for software development thru to Application Employee Field trial. They will leverage the latest cloud and virtual technologies to provide agile and flexible systems in the cable industry. This role will be responsible for software development, configuration and data enablement processes. The role will also be responsible for the creation and management of a Development Test organization for all projects and software solutions delivered by the Engineering Software organization or provided by vendors. This includes CPE firmware, back-end systems, and client applications. In addition, this role will be responsible for the data team in charge of capturing, monitoring and reporting out on software releases, heath and success.

- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Ensure the highest quality software products are provided to our customers through effective 24/7 multi-location development and QA testing.
- Stay abreast of trends in the area of Agile, Cloud, Embedded and Virtual operations technologies and systems.
- Oversee the recommendations and teams for defect/remedy and outage triage methods for products, services and applications thru software solutions and product enhancements.
- Ensure that software delivery systems in cloud, embedded or virtual environments are aligned with operational and system company objectives.
- Provide support to the Network Operations organizations to ensure proper handoff of software and system design to practical deployment in Charter's infrastructure.
- Assist in the implementation of technical and engineering QA/Test/OPS performance standards to meet or exceed product performance and expectations.
- Oversee the implementation of software system architecture plans for all current and future software projects’ requirements
- Advise on new directions and challenges in the virtual systems, operations and testing areas.
- Approve major policies and engineering procedures that impact Charter's software delivery system.
- Establish a dynamic, highly motivated, software, testing and system operations team with outstanding competencies in the company's core technologies and processes.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 12 + years of industry experience in broadband, software, or service providers
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, write speak and understand English
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to monitor/assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
- Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Knowledge of software testing methods, software deployment methods, and software server systems (Virtual and physical)
- Knowledge of process and program management in a broadband business
- Strong track record of success as leader
- Demonstration of agile approach to all tasks and timelines
Strong ethical behavior combined with unmatched passion, commitment and drive for quality excellence - Strong program management skills demonstrated through effective implementation and use of team approach, systems agile development methodology and processes, business strategies and planning

The base pay for this position generally is between $174,300.00 and $290,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
