The base pay for this position generally is between $67,100.00 and $107,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and present solution prototypes and technology demos to showcase emerging capabilities
- Rapidly create and maintain software prototypes across diverse subject areas
- Implement and test REST API endpoints, enhancing system connectivity
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams to resolve complex hardware and software challenges
- Analyze in-house applications, diagnose operational issues and provide expert consultation and training
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
- Identify opportunities for system design enhancements and participate in performance improvement sessions

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- BA or BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- 0-2 years in systems analysis, coding, testing and design, software development methodologies or network systems
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Basic knowledge of software development concepts and procedures
- Understanding of Internet technology fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, DHCP
- Ability to think creatively and independently to innovate in emerging technology areas
- Familiarity with modern architectures such as SOA and REST and communication frameworks including HTTP, XMPP, MQTT
- Experience with at least one game engine software such as Unity or Unreal
- Experience with at least one immersive HMD target platform SDK including Vive, Daydream or Windows Mixed Reality
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
- Self-starter and driven individual
- Ability to manage shifting priorities while maintaining organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, tools and methodologies
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle and software design patterns and principles
- Ability to identify system performance indicators and recommend actions for improvement
- Knowledge of Voice, Data, Video and Wireless technologies
- Familiarity with technology processing flows and clear communication of technical knowledge
- Basic knowledge of automating software deployments using tools such as Puppet, Chef, Python and Ansible
Preferred Qualifications
Skills
- Experience with SCM systems such as Git
- Familiarity with electrical assembly and hand soldering
- Hardware debugging using serial, JTAG, SPI
- Understanding of challenges in large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with AWS, OpenStack or other cloud infrastructure technologies
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools including Docker, Chef, Puppet or Ansible
- Experience with augmented reality toolkits including ARCore, ARKit, Vuforia
- Knowledge of shading and rendering APIs such as OpenGL and Vulkan
