Associate Test Engineer

The base pay for this position generally is between $67,100.00 and $107,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

Curious about how quality shapes the technology that connects millions? As an Associate Test Engineer at Spectrum, you will execute formal test plans, collaborate closely with development teams and use both manual and automated testing to ensure products meet high standards. Your work will directly influence product reliability and customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results and provide actionable feedback to development teams
- Define and track product test metrics including defects, test results and status for both manual and automated scenarios
- Ensure product quality meets documented requirements to enhance satisfaction for Spectrum’s customers
- Perform troubleshooting on back end systems and front end interfaces to identify and resolve defects
- Document problems and collaborate on resolutions with project teams
- Create manual test cases based on requirements and analyze discovered defects to pinpoint functional areas
- Troubleshoot and enhance automation scripts as needed, participating as a project team member across multiple programs

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience
- 0+ years of business or systems analysis, testing or related business experience
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented with drive to meet targets and deadlines
- Basic knowledge of automation tools
- Detail-oriented with ability to tackle technical issues and create test cases or write defects
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot defects in various scenarios

- Exposure to test automation tools
- Ability to analyze and assist in resolving defects
- Capable of managing shifting priorities
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team of internal and external resources
