Director, Self-Service Platforms
The Director, Self-Service Platforms will play a crucial technical leader role within Self-Service Products and Platforms (SSPP). Accountable for delivering software solutions within the broader SSPP organization, the Director Self-Service Platforms will be responsible for operating an efficient and smooth software delivery process from intake through launch within organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage direct and indirect (matrixed) team of delivery and program management professionals.
- Provide oversight to delivery management team, ensuring delivery plans are established for all projects for 4-6 software development teams; identify blind spots in delivery plans and coach team on actionable steps to mitigate risks.
- Provide resource allocation guidance to delivery teams to align work with department objectives.
- Create or leverage standardized project and agile delivery artifacts which delivery management team will use to manage project delivery.
- Handle delivery escalations from team members, involving executives when necessary.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to communicate delivery roadmaps, and ensure delivery management team communicates regular project status updates.
- Monitor metrics and reporting to take action to ensure application health, performance, and delivery commitments.
- Hold self and team accountable to software delivery commitments.
- Identify new projects and priorities, constantly validating that the team is aligned on delivering outcomes that solve customer problems and departmental defaults.
- Develop an organization that supports business and personal outcome delivery, resolving technical debt, responding to production issues, improving quality, and investing in speed and team autonomy.
- Manage high performing teams by leading, developing, training and providing effective coaching to attract and foster talent.
- Create communications for executive consumption regarding roadmap delivery, platform/feature quality and team performance.
- Identify operational improvements and oversee implementation of process changes within organization.

Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science or relevant work experience
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience leading complex projects
- 8+ years of exerperience in application development process
- 5+ years of team leadership experience
- 2+ yeas of budget management experience
- Skills:
- Experience managing technical project delivery for large, complex and multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, communicate effectively orally and electronically, demonstrated communication skills, verbal and written, for internal and external customers
- Possess demonstrated technical knowledge of front-end UI development
- Data driven decision making and strong analytical skills
- Understands where the customer and industry is going and how our products must adapt to meet those needs
- Expert ability to manage complex and diverse projects, develop, communicate and implement strategies and tactics
- Demonstrated business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
- Demonstrated presentation tool skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively, balance conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with focus towards business priorities, manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously, and make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Ability to supervise and motivate others

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,080.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
