Are you prepared to assist with law enforcement requests involving subpoenas, search warrants, and court orders? As a LERT Analyst I at Spectrum, this role demands a highly analytical and technically proficient individual capable of operating effectively under pressure within a sensitive data environment. The ideal candidate blends strong critical thinking with excellent communication skills and adaptability.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Process time-sensitive searches submitted to Spectrum by legal entities (Legal Response Operations Center – LEROC) and utilize tools with elevated permissions to identify accounts using IP addresses, phone numbers, names, addresses, email address, SSN, payment details or other provided information
  • Utilizing Internal Systems Navigate and use internal databases and systems to gather necessary information, following defined protocols and procedures.
  • Utilize department processes and tools across multiple databases and systems systematically 
  • Use existing queries in Splunk and Mobile Billing Systems for reports to identify wireless users and Call Detail
  • Records (CDRs) and interpret complex data for troubleshooting
  • Handle urgent/emergency inquiries from law enforcement, remaining calm and providing information as needed in critical situations.
  • Respond promptly and clearly to emergency calls from Law Enforcement Agents (LEAs) in high-stress situations and answering queries from external agencies and teams  
  • Identify threats to life, maintain composure during stressful interactions with Law Enforcement, and handle sensitive issues competently  
  • Maintain confidentiality, especially with high-profile suspects 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies, manage tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively

  • Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call duty

Required Qualifications 

Education

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Experience 

  • 1+ years of experience in information systems environment, preferably in IT/Network Security 
    Customer service experience

Skills

  • Ability to apply analytical techniques and critical thinking skills, have excellent oral and written communications, and willingness to learn and navigate multiple system applications 
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, with the ability to prepare and present documents 
  • Ability to modify documentation of processes and procedures using tools like Confluence and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Understanding of computer networks 
  • Knowledge of security issues, techniques, tools, and implications  
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work in a team environment, sharing workloads and responsibilities 


Preferred Qualifications 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or job-related equivalent experience in lieu of degree 

Experience 

  • 1+ years of security operations experience 
  • 1+ years of experience with law enforcement & law enforcement requests, intelligence, reviewing sensitive content, or public/private sector security org 

Skills 

  • Strong analytical techniques and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and resolve problems efficiently, including the ability to proactively gather missing evidence pieces or reconcile information when initial data does not align as well as a willingness to learn and navigate multiple system applications 
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities for effective interaction with law enforcement agents and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in utilizing core Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel for data analysis and Microsoft Word for documentation and report preparation.
  • Exceptional ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent accuracy which plays a crucial role that impacts the company in legal, financial, and marketing implications 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to maintain positive relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and Law Enforcement personnel 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and situational awareness 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with high-volume workflows, collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate sound judgement even in ambiguous situations 
  • Strong analytical and computer skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once

The base pay for this position generally is between $50,500.00 and $80,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
