In a Fortune 100 company, as a Principal Data Insights, AI Engineering on the Operational Analytics & Insights team, you’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to develop data-driven solutions to address Spectrum’s business problems. As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to work with a wide variety of AI technologies and tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. You will operate in a cloud environment, which will allow you to deploy and scale your AI solutions efficiently. This collaborative role will enable you to stay at the forefront of AI advancements and apply your knowledge to solve complex business challenges.


WHAT OUR PRINCIPAL DATA INSIGHTS ENJOY MOST

  • Contributing thought leadership to drive the definition and delivery of Product usage reporting including: metrics definition, data visualizations, and ETL requirements.
  • Partnering with Information Technology and Business Intelligence organizations to obtain and ingest new reference data sources required for Product usage reports.
  • Partnering with the User Experience & Design organization to ensure reports and dashboards are usable, elegant and industry leading.
  • Contributing to proper software development life cycle is leveraged for all projects.
  • Motivating resources through communication and awareness of project needs and business impacts.
  • Developing effective partnerships with corporate functional groups (Software Engineering, Operations, Care, IT, Product, etc.).

On a typical day you’ll support product teams by enabling the design and end-to-end delivery of automated reporting for a variety of product-focused business solutions. If you have in-depth business acumen and a sense of urgency to achieve results, this could be the role for you.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Customer facing products/services environment: 8+ years
    • Working within a data platform/data analysis environment: 8+years
    • Managing complex projects: 6+ years
    • Contributing to teams of data analysts and data scientists: 6+years
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Abilities:
    • Make decisions, balance conflicting resource demands, and solve problems with internal pressures and a focus towards our business priorities
    • Manage complex and diverse projects and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
    • Demonstrated in-depth ability to analyze, interpret and present data
    • Adapt, learn and continue to expand in Cable and IP product and system knowledge
    • Manage development within a variety of technology stacks
    • Manage peer groups to achieve team objective
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python and SQL
    • Large Language Models (LLMs) (finetuning, retraining, and prompt engineering)
    • AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Transformers for building and deploying models
    • Familiarity with advanced AI techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, LLM integration for enhanced information retrieval and generation, GPT and BERT
    • Working with text data including Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques such as tokenization, lemmatization, sentiment analysis, text classification, topic modeling, and entity recognition
    • Expertise in data extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL)
    • Designing and developing AI solutions using common industry cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure ML, Databricks, AWS, Redshift, or Fabric

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,660.00 and $196,460.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
