As a Software Engineer IV, you will develop and implement software systems supporting business initiatives, leveraging your expertise in Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEERS ENJOY THE MOST
Designing and developing production-grade applications that are performant, testable, and scalable with limited oversight
Working hands-on with modern technologies like Java (Spring Boot) with some Kotlin, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular, React, Next.js, Fastify)
Building and supporting enterprise microservices and API-first platforms, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native practices
Solving complex problems through effective problem-solving, ownership, and independent technical decision-making
Collaborating with team members to drive creative solutions while maintaining a strong focus on code quality and best practices
Supporting deployments, resolving production issues, and ensuring systems run smoothly at scale
Applying knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and working with large datasets to improve customer experiences
Actively contributing to efforts that simplify and enhance the customer journey, while documenting technical requirements and design decisions

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
2+ years database management systems
2+ years coding, testing, and designing software
2+ years software development methodologies
Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool, coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
Demonstrated knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, cloud native app development, dependent systems, up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, design patterns, and software architecture patterns
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Functional negotiation skills
Showcases project/feature level work to their team and senior technical leadership
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe
Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Experience with modern technologies like Java (Spring Boot) with some Kotlin, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular, React, Next.js, Fastify)
Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management on cloud platforms
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, Datadog, or Grafana
Agile software development experience with Scrum or Kanban
Experience developing or supporting data analytics solutions

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,330.00 and $156,530.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
