Seeking a role where your technical skills in network operations can prevent service disruptions and support seamless connections across a large enterprise? As an Associate Network Operations Engineer at Spectrum, you will monitor essential network elements, triage issues, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to keep services running smoothly. Your work ensures fast resolution and uninterrupted experiences for Spectrum customers. 


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Monitor information on all sites and back haul, identify deterioration of components and dispatch/assist field personnel with repairs 
  • Identify, notify, and escalate network issues—respond to network alarms with the primary focus to discover and resolve customer-impacting issues before customers recognize impact to their services 
  • Process equipment returns and analysis requests for failed hardware 
  • Compose and send outage notifications, alerting and informing a wide audience (including executives) of high-risk network events and major customer-impacting incidents 
  • Act as a technical escalation for the ESM NOC, CB Care, TTM, and Day of Job organizations 
  • Respond to emails from internal groups and external vendors pertaining to a wide range of customer-facing issues 
  • Escalate customer-impacting and install-impacting (new revenue) major incidents to verticals for each line of business, technology product, critical network facility, and service delivery platform 
  • Under supervision, manage outage bridges to drive quick resolution to customer-impacting issues.
  • Handle incoming trouble calls. Work closely with engineering, field technicians, marketing and vendors to resolve service issues 
  • Resolve network problems/faults; escalate as necessary to appropriate parties. Track and update problems in trouble ticketing system 
  • Monitor traffic patterns to identify potential problem areas and escalate to take corrective action to implement short term adjustments as well as refer chronic problems to Engineering for permanent resolution 
  • Identify alarm correlations and appropriate response actions for future automation

Required Qualifications 


Education

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Technology or Sciences or industry certification or equivalent work experience 

Skills

  • Schedule / Shift Requirements : Tuesday through Saturday 11 PM – 7:30 AM EST
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English  
  • Ability to work in a teamwork environment, troubleshoot and correlation event and alarms skills, utilize all network tools and resources to resolve most trouble tickets assigned, and work with internal and external clients, various operation support groups, vendors, and carriers  
  • Knowledge of network operations, topology, platforms, and protocols for IP, Voice, Video networks, network operations tools and ticketing platforms  
  • Demonstrated aptitude to triage and correlate event/alarms
