How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, driving performance evaluations and supporting career growth
Lead the development and execution of quality engineering processes and testing strategies to meet project specifications
Assess resource needs and perform capacity planning to ensure deadlines are consistently met
Develop, enforce and monitor quality standards and procedures to ensure optimal product outcomes
Estimate, prioritize and coordinate comprehensive testing activities and create detailed test plans
Collaborate with stakeholders across Spectrum to facilitate solutions and continuously improve processes
Implement metrics and reporting tools to track quality performance and drive improvement initiatives
Support internal and external customer issues, driving resolution and escalating risks when necessary
Function as backup for the Quality Engineering Senior Manager when required
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
5+ years of experience in quality engineering software testing
3+ years in a managerial role
Preferred Qualifications
Capacity management planning across multiple business functions.
Experience in software quality engineering within a large-scale technology environment
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvements and process enhancements in previous roles
Skills
Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with employees, customers and suppliers
Proven experience in quality engineering management or a relevant role
Thorough understanding of quality engineering methodologies and standards
Skilled in managing complex projects in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
Experience with manual and automation testing tools for both UI and API
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear recommendations
Proficient in conflict resolution and resource workload assessment for team optimization
Outstanding verbal and written communication with a clear and professional approach
Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple priorities
Ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
Experience leading and coordinating onshore and offshore staff to achieve team goals
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Commitment to adhering to all security measures
Ability to identify and implement best practices and modern technologies to enhance efficiency
