As Programming Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Director of Programming & Acquisitions in managing the daily activities of our programming department. You'll be responsible for compiling, executing, and distributing the schedules for Spectrum SportsNet, SportsNet LA, and Surf Channel to both internal and external audiences. Your expertise in managing all aspects of scheduling for Regional Sports Networks will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and success for our programming department. You’ll make data-informed decisions about what’s resonating to connect our audience with the stories that matter.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience:Network programming development & acquisition- 5+ years, management experience - 2+ years
- Education: Bachelor's degree in broadcasting or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Technical skills:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, Demonstrated overall sports and news knowledge
- Skills:Positive, collaborative interpersonal skills with strong verbal, written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey requests and ideas, problem analysis and problem resolution skills
- Abilities: Ability to drive multiple projects and tasks, ability to solve problems and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints
- Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
- Schedule: Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to "breaking news", and/or severe weather emergencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in live sports television network programming - 5+ years
Working Conditions:
- Office environment
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
- Travel depending upon project needs
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours, work on location, etc.

A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
The base pay for this position generally is between $86,000.00 and $182,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
