How You’ll Make an Impact
Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Overseeing monthly/quarterly/annual/forecasting state income tax provisions under ASC 450 and ASC 740.
Providing SEC-required tax disclosures and footnotes.
Calculating, supporting, and maintaining income tax reserves under FIN48.
Being responsible for the long-term plan, annual budget, and monthly/quarterly state taxable income forecasts for cash tax purposes.
Maintaining and supporting gross temporary differences and related deferred tax balances.
Creating, researching, and preparing analytical models and implementations for planning, legislation (policy), and transaction (M&A) purposes.
Developing, researching, and executing state tax planning and coordinating across various teams across the organization.
Coordinating with state corporate and partnership income and franchise tax compliance teams and communicating estimated tax payments and tax extensions.
Coordinating, responding to auditors’ inquiries, and closing state income and franchise tax audits.
Liaising with Charter and responding to auditors' inquiries for income and franchise tax audits.
Managing relationships with external state tax advisors.
Developing, training, and managing Company income tax staff.
Implementing and maintaining income tax reporting processes, software, and analytic tools in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act..
Performing other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education
State Tax analysis/compliance/reporting experience - 6-7 years
Supervisory experience - 3+ years
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications Experience
3+ years of Big 4 experience
Skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Superior knowledge of fixed asset depreciation schedules and the ability to properly apply recovery periods for different property types
Technical skills in Accelerated Cost Recovery Systems (ACRS) and Modified Accelerated Cost
Recovery Systems (MACRS) Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.), including advanced Excel skills
Ability to research and resolve technical tax issues
Ability to work independently and manage people and projects simultaneously
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Knowledge of accounting theory
