Seeking a role where your expertise in tax compliance directly shapes Spectrum’s financial operations? As a Tax Accountant, you will manage tax returns, reconcile ledger accounts, and conduct critical research that supports audits and planning. Your commitment to accuracy and timeliness will drive our ongoing success and ensure Spectrum’s compliance with regulatory standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Prepare and complete tax compliance for multiple entities, ensuring timely submission using Spectrum’s tax software
Accumulate, analyze and process financial accounting data for tax return preparation
Maintain accurate tax records and reconcile general ledger tax accounts
Research and resolve notices from taxing jurisdictions, addressing technical tax issues as they arise
Process journal entries for the tax department and investigate monthly variances in tax amounts
Compile data to support tax audits and participate in research, planning, and special projects
Coordinate and communicate effectively with tax, accounting and system personnel to facilitate department objectives

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Experience
0+ years general ledger accounting experience
0+ years tax experience
Skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to use personal computer and software applications including word processing and spreadsheets
Superior Excel skills
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to research technical tax issues
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform as part of a team committed to common objectives
Ability to make decisions and solve problems
Ability to adapt to unexpected or changing conditions
Ability to manage multiple projects and stay focused to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of accounting theory and financial statement presentation
