TITLE: BI ETL Developer IV (Multiple Openings)
DUTIES: Serve as a technical ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) lead on large-scale reporting projects and guides other collaborators effectively to project completion. Serve as a resident expert on cross-functional Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Ensure all team members incorporate architectural and organizational best practices when creating or enhancing BI solutions. Troubleshoot and triage BI tools, systems, and software issues in the production environment. Provide data model design for the development of cost-effective BI solutions in a large-scale cloud data warehouse environment, utilizing the tools and technologies supported by our platform. Lead workstream/project for ETL and data model planning to and accurately project scope and complexity and provide reliable estimates for level of effort including work from external stakeholders and horizontal teams (such as Shared Services, Architecture, Production Operations and vertical partners including Business Analysts and other Report Developers) to achieve business objectives. Utilize SQL for both declarative/procedural queries and data design language in a large-scale warehouse environment. Provide support and mentoring through example (e.g. code reviews, feature demos, technical challenges) to help ensure team members solve problems correctly, increase their skillsets and achieve their development goals. Ensure the durability, reliability and accuracy of our reporting products at all times. Ensure code is tuned for high performance and cost effectiveness to ensure costs are minimized and reports are highly responsive in our self-service MicroStrategy platform.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field. 10 years of experience implementing SQL Query and procedure design within large-scale data warehouse environments. 10 years of experience utilizing ETL Design for data ingestion, data translation, and data normalization to extract source data and load into reporting models. 10 years of experience utilizing business requirements to design effective and efficient data models for self-service reporting. 10 years of experience delivering reporting solutions in a Business Intelligence or Information Technology environment. 2 years of experience operating with MPP (massively parallel) Cloud databases such as Teradata, Exadata, Snowflake or Redshift. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, we will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field and 7 years of experience (two years in the last requirement) in the above. Hybrid arrangement is available.
SALARY: $201,323 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
