JOB SCOPE

Are you ready to shape the future of marketing strategy for a leading connectivity provider? At Spectrum, we are looking for a Group Vice President of Consumer Insights and Portfolio Marketing to serve as a pivotal leader, transforming market intelligence into high-impact go-to-market initiatives that fuel subscriber and revenue growth. This executive role steers the competitive positioning and value proposition of Spectrum’s Internet, Mobile, Video, Streaming, and Voice solutions across both residential and business audiences.


DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Provide direct leadership to the Consumer Insights & Research, Portfolio Marketing, Seamless Entertainment and Mid-Market & Large Business Marketing teams; work in concert with Acquisition and Customer Relationship Management Marketing, Creative, Product & Technology and Sales departments, among other business partners.
  • Provide direction and deliver marketing strategies across varied prospect and customer journeys by cultivating audience, customer and market insights that effectively position the company’s products and services.
  • Identify new and/or under-penetrated market opportunities across customer segments and industry verticals by anticipating/forecasting emerging trends in audience behaviors and preferences. Bring products and product features to market through compelling positioning, messaging and competitive differentiation with value propositions that resonate within varied segments.
  • Work across internal and external business partners to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for new products and/or product enhancements that align to changing audience needs.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive video streaming app marketing strategy to drive user acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention in partnership with Spectrum programming partners.
  • Plan and orchestrate marketing campaigns that drive growth within Fortune 1000 strategic business accounts, with oversight of Account Based Marketing, Analyst Relations, and Customer Advocacy disciplines.
  • Establish and manage third party relationships that stimulate the company’s ability to expand reach into designated markets.
  • Manage a high-performing, dedicated team of marketing experts to provide the organization with world class experience, knowledge, execution, and overall marketing leadership while cultivating growth.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
  • Fifteen (15) years of Leadership experience
  • Fifteen (15) years of Marketing experience
  • Ten (10) years of Product Marketing experience
  • Five (5) years of Research / Consumer Insights experience

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in defining audiences, understanding consumer preferences, motivations, perceptions and behaviors that inform business decisions around product-market fit, go-to-market strategy and customer experience
  • Ability to align systems, programs, and people with the company strategy and culture
  • Ability to serve as a visionary, think strategically, and anticipate future needs and trends
  • Ability to lead large change, complex projects and initiatives, foster teamwork, and build a strong culture of collaboration
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels which includes development and delivery of presentations to senior executive audiences
  • Expertise in developing and communicating business strategies, collaborating across business areas to create strategic alignment, and leading large, cross-functional teams to implement complex strategies
  • Persuasive speaking skills with an ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Attention to detail and data driven mindset with strong instinct for the customer’s perspective
  • Clear, strong, and precise writing skills along with an ability to synthesize complex market and technology messages into insightful sales and retention value drivers
  • Proven success with positioning and brand development
  • Proficient in leading full scale market research initiatives
  • Ability to gain buy-in and alignment across sales, product, operations, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience partnering with internal and external constituencies critical to the marketing process (agencies, vendors, internal department heads, etc.)
