VP, Creative Operations
JOB SCOPE
The VP, Creative Operations drives operational, process, and system innovations for the Marketing Creative organization, integrating people, processes, and platforms to deliver world-class creative work at scale. As a strategic partner to senior leadership, including the SVP and Chief Creative Officer, this role connects Creative, Marketing Operations, Media, Product, Insights, Research, PR, and external partners to enhance creative quality and commercial outcomes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
- Lead the design, build and evolution of operational models that align creative and marketing activities to the strategy of the wider enterprise and incorporates early strategic insights, competitive intelligence, and creative foresight in advance of and through campaign development. Ensure creative output supports overall marketing and business objectives while maintaining creative integrity.
- Oversee annual planning and budgeting cycles for creative output, capacity, and agency requirements, ensuring flexibility and prioritization against business goals. Partner with Marketing Creative leads, Business Planning, and Procurement to forecast, scenario plan, and analyze budget performance, enabling adaptive resource deployment. Use financial insight to strategically steer and guide creative investment decisions and to inform long-term planning, cost efficiency, and value creation.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize creative workflows and processes. Define operating frameworks, RACI models, and governance processes that bring clarity, speed, and accountability across the marketing ecosystem.
- Advocate the adoption of tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance team performance and ensure teams are equipped to meet project demands while fostering a collaborative, experimental, and learning-oriented culture across the Marketing enterprise. Champion responsible and proactive technology and AI integration that enhances creative delivery, realizes efficiencies, and unlocks new ways of working.
- Build collaborative relationships with agencies, vendors, and technology partners to enhance creative capability and speed to market. Serve as a senior advisor and trusted partner across Creative, Marketing, Media, Product, and PR/Comms teams, fostering alignment and shared accountability.
- Engage proactively with executive stakeholders to provide operational insight, confirm progress to delivery, and guide strategic prioritization. Communicate complex operational narratives clearly to senior audiences, enabling informed decision-making and organizational clarity.
BASIC / MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Design Management, Strategic Communications or related fields
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in Creative operations, marketing, or innovation leadership roles
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience working in Progressive leadership/senior management, leading cross-functional or global teams
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Expert understanding of creative processes, workflow design, strategic program leadership, project lifecycles and production timelines
- Proven experience aligning creative and business strategies in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Expert knowledge of tools and platforms for project management, resource planning and creative collaboration
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in strategic budget management and ROI analysis, as well as managing multimillion-dollar budgets, staffing plans, and vendor relationships.
- Expert knowledge of innovation in operations, including leveraging technology, data, and emerging tools to drive transformation.
- Expertise in workflow, resource, and asset management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, and Digital Asset Management platforms).
- Expertise in developing and communicating business strategies, collaborating across business areas to create strategic alignment, and leading large, cross-functional teams to implement complex strategies.
- Proficient in building strong partnerships across the organization, leading and managing groups through change and growth, and developing and managing a diverse workforce.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and to prepare and present presentations to senior executive audiences and internal and external partners.
- Proficient ability to lead through influence, fostering collaboration, team development, and creating clarity and building a culture of growth in fast-moving environments.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and mobile products and services is a plus.
Creative Operations or relatedMaster’s Degree in related field.
Experience across creative, media, and product organizations or within integrated agency environments.
WORKING CONDUTIONS
- Office environment, with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote
- Up to 10% travel
