A part time, 4-month program where you’ll work with a Spectrum News team, contributing to meaningful projects while learning how journalism comes together in some of the nation's most influential cities. Your schedule will be organized around your semester schedule.

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum News intern, we have a variety of areas that you can spend the semester learning and working alongside our staff in the areas that are of interest to you.
Internship responsibilities may include
Pitch, research, and develop stories
Assist with live shows and field production
Learn professional editing, shooting, and writing
Work with reporters, producers, editors, and digital teams
Support daily newsroom operations
Gain exposure to multiple tracks, including:
Reporting / MMJ (Multimedia Journalist)
Editorial & Story Development
Digital & Audience Engagement
Production & Control Room Operations
Writing & Research
Required qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
