As an Associate Development Operations Engineer on the Billing Operations and Technology Incident Management team, you’ll manage the process to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to business operations.

WHAT OUR ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

  • Hosting technical bridges to troubleshoot complex issues with escalation to various support application and infrastructure teams as necessary
  • Ensuring event and response detail is documented for critical incidents and delivered within defined targets to key stakeholders
  • Coordinating releases and production environments
  • Working with senior developers to mitigate and resolve unexpected situations
  • Monitoring systems performance and reliability; daily data processing
  • Analyzing and improving processes used for approving and orchestrating application deployments
  • Reviewing and providing recommendations for all internal facing user documentation

In this role you will work in areas with limited scope with opportunities to expand to more complex phases while supervised. You will excel in this role if you can work both independently and in teams and deal with ambiguity when evaluating alternatives and making recommendations.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Business/systems analysis, and/or business experience: or 0-2 years; Database management systems: or 0-2 years; Experience with coding, testing and design: or 0-2 years; Experience with software development methodologies: 0-2 years
  • Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Technical skills: Basic understanding of IT concepts & systems, including but not limited to ITIL, system architecture, networking, Windows/Linux administration, SQL, and HTML; demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, etc.);
  • Abilities: Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance; ability to communicate knowledge of technology (inputs, outputs, and processing flows); understanding of software design patterns and principles; understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC); demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
