TITLE: Director, Software Development

DUTIES: Provide leadership and direction to Charter’s software development team, including setting clear goals and objectives. Develop solutions for various Charter teams, which encompasses projects spanning across various organizations including Biller, Ordering, Provisioning and Video. Provide technical solutions through the translation of user needs and business requirements into high-level and detailed design. Determine opportunities for improvement to automate processes and functions. Drive technical discussions on architecture and the future of Charter’s technology stack including: JAVA, Spring, Springboot, LDAP, and Oracle. Identify and prioritize software development initiatives based on business needs and available resources. Establish and enforce software development processes and standards to ensure consistent and high quality software development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of software products and solutions. Manage software development projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software development team members, promoting professional development and growth. Develop, troubleshoot, and provide guidance for software utilizing programming languages including Java. Provide development, maintenance, and support of Web Services including Siteminder or Ping Federate for SSO, WebAgent, and Custom Agent development. Analyze and document complex technical solutions to develop requirements and design complex system application domains. Utilize API Gateway for web services. Implement DevOps and Agile practices to automate code build and deployment using Chef and Jenkins.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field. 5 years of experience analyzing and documenting complex technical solutions to develop requirements and design complex system application domains. 4 years of experience: developing, troubleshooting, and providing guidance for software utilizing programming languages including Java; and in development, maintenance, and support of Web Services including Siteminder or Ping Federate for SSO, WebAgent, and Custom Agent development. 3 years of experience: utilizing API Gateway for web services; and implementing DevOps and Agile practices to automate code build and deployment using Chef and Jenkins. A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available. National travel required every other month.

SALARY: $193,357 - $223,900 per year

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
