BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Payroll Supervisor,you’llbe responsible for the training and development of newly hired employees, payroll helpdesk customer service and the documentation and maintenance of department policies and procedures as it pertains to the outcome of employee paychecks. You’ll create training schedules, documentation, and support to prepare new team members for their role in the Shared Services Payroll Department. In addition, you will work closely with the Payroll Management team to identify and drive process efficiencies, identify training needs, and implement solutions.
WHAT OUR PAYROLL SUPERVISORS ENJOY MOST
Providing direct supervision to team members trained in customer service
Monitoring and reviewing Payroll Helpdesk Calls
Providing first level performance feedback to processing team members and to management
Ensuring processing integrity by reviewing and auditing reports
Assisting with process problem identification, resolution, and root cause analysis
Developing in depth knowledge of payroll processing and payroll policy
Providing payroll support to division and corporate employees
You’ll act as the payroll metrics subject matter expert to support managerial decision making; seldom are two days the same. You’ll deal with data and reporting so you must be resourceful, eager to learn and able to adapt to an ever-evolving work environment and industry. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Experience: Previous multi-state payroll processing experience 5+ years. Prior management or supervisory experience 2+ years
Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, CPP designation, or minimum of 2 years of related experience in a payroll lead position
Technical skills:MS Excel spreadsheet knowledge. Knowledge of system testing and test result documentation procedures. Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.5 of higher. Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system. Knowledge of wage and hour laws and multi state taxation. Multi-state garnishment administration knowledge. Data entry experience
Skills: Communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service skills/prior experience
Abilities:Can read, write, speak, and understand English
Travel Abilities: Office environment

Supervisory or leadership experience 2+ years
