TITLE: Principal Engineer I

DUTIES: Build continuous integration and delivery platforms as well as wrap automation for continuous code and configuration releases within new virtualized and containerized lab environment. Partner with infrastructure development and architecture team to automate and reduce deployment times of video and wireless software technologies. Build continuous integration and delivery of (CI/CD) platform utilizing GitLab, Kubernetes, Morpheus, Itential and Argo CD. Monitor software infrastructure, perform code coverage, and fix security issues by implementing monthly scans of CI/CD pipeline to protect the software delivery process. Deploy software within a DevOps environment using Ansible. Install and administer common data platforms for virtual machine provisioning. Perform research and development utilizing applications to provide a sustainable, stable, flexible and robust infrastructure environment. Install and manage SonarQube and Gremlin tools for code coverage, quality, and security. Document infrastructure release and automation. Mange the artifactory repositories. Configure and monitor infrastructure using DataDog and Splunk. Develop frameworks for new features on Kraken portal for DAI Automation and LESP. Monitor environment needs for projects including Auto Activation, App Cloud, and Map-T. Deploy applications, perform validation, and will troubleshoot, test, and triage shared services, including UFAM(Auth-ID), TDCS, White-listing portals, PI,Pi-Lite, PI-NXT, SCL, EFFIE, and Micro.  Utilize his technical solutions expertise to upgrade cloud infrastructure and architecture lab tenant clusters to new CaaS and IaaS releases and will ensure systems and nodes align to the overall solutions; and will build CaaS clusters utilizing Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker, Centos 6X, 7X, F5, Ansible Tower, VM Ware, and Helm. Develop new features on Kraken portal for DAI Automation and LESP project; perform DAI automation for the IP and QAM end-users; and will run tests on demand utilizing Kraken portal. Enhance JEDI portals and lab self-service portals; perform scripting with Python, BASH, HTML, and CSS; and will perform CI/CD pipeline implementation using Git, Jenkins, Chef, Terraform, and JFROG(Artifactory).

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field. 5 years of experience: working with video and wireless software technologies; building a CI/CD platform utilizing GitLab, Kubernetes; and deploying software within a DevOps environment using Ansible.1 year of experience monitoring software infrastructure, performing code coverage, and fixing security issues by implementing monthly scans of CI/CD pipeline; and building a CI/CD platform utilizing Morpheus and Itential.  A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.

SALARY: $152,069 - $196,400 per year

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
