TITLE: Principal Engineer I
DUTIES: Provide technical expertise within the VDE group, a business unit linking Architecture and Operations. Collaborating with Design/Architect team to gather test cases and requirements. Build comprehensive lab
environment. Build and modify test cases and suites in TestRail. Run test cases. Communicate findings to Design, Vendor, Operations, and Product teams. Continuous communication with Operations for the purpose of supporting products and triaging issues and bugs. Meet with the Design/Architect team to review
upcoming lab efforts, review active efforts, and cover any other emerging issues. Provide support to operations and triage and test requests that come in from downstream. Crosstrain other team members. Provide ancillary support to VDE partner groups
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience testing software using Graphical User Interface, Java Command Line, Linux, and hardware including Video Clients and Encoders. 4 years of experience in the following: managing, maintaining, and configuring Linux operating systems; managing, troubleshooting, and configuring network communications to the intra- and internet; and with the DSG/DAVIC communication path and design.
* In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, Employer will accept two (2) additional years of experience testing software using Graphical User Interface, Java Command Line, Linux, and hardware including Video Clients and Encoders.
* A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
SALARY: $130,811 - $ 196,400 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
