TITLE: Principal Engineer I
DUTIES: Architect and build solutions for integration activities which encompasses several projects spanning across various organizations including Billing, Ordering, Provisioning, Field Operations and Customer Experience. Provide architectural and technical solutions through the translation of user needs and business requirements into high level and detailed design, solution and functional architecture and specifications. Determine opportunities for improvement to automate processes and enablement functions. Collaborate with Project/Product Managers, ProductOwners, Release Train Engineers (RTE), and Scrum Masters to validate project requirements and establish Lab environment expectations. Coordinate with internal and external teams to guide lab infrastructure buildouts. Plan, forecast, and implement resource needs for complex cable, telecommunications, and wireless networking systems across all lines of business, including Video, Voice, Broadband, Wireless, and Mobile. Utilize tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Lucid to manage technical issues and communicate system requirements. Participate in architecture planning to ensure designs meet industry standards. Document architectural designs to align with production goals and strategic objectives. Create end-to-end flowcharts and evaluate new processes. Conduct technical reviews and gap analysis of architecture, tools, and lab hardware to ensure comprehensive end-to-end test coverage in Lab environments. Provide environment and test strategy recommendations to ensure Lab readiness certification, close testing gaps, and enable full end-to-end testing. Perform smoke and sanity tests across all lines of business for handoff to development and Integration Teams when new features are enabled. Support high-priority initiatives by helping development and test teams identify needs for lab integration. Develop, enhance, and implement systems and applications to support business initiatives from a Lab perspective. Maintain environment and test strategy documentation, recommending all necessary enhancements. Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools to ensure readiness for end-to-end testing in lab environments. Optimize deployment processes to accelerate time to market for both lab and production environments. Collaborate with Architects to develop system-level and application-level designs that align with strategic goals and lab infrastructure needs. Ensure architectural solutions meet current and future objectives, providing diagrams, test strategy enablers, and playbooks to impacted teams. Coordinate with teams for lab infrastructure buildouts and pre-deployment activities like Proof-of-Concept testing. Support automation and monitoring tools to enable lab and test teams. Use vendor tools to create monitoring and alerting systems for hardware, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), and application issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in the following: performing Cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) Multidisciplinary Engineering to utilize Coaxial Cable and Fiber solutions; performing data platform engineering to set up and manage Kafka Brokers to handle data streams; performing CPE Testing to setup, test, and validate Settop Box (STBs), DOCSIS Cable Modems, Multimedia Terminal Adapter (MTA), and embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter (eMTA); utilizing Agent Tools, Technician Tools, Customer Portals, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Customer Phone Applications and Self-install to handle activation of services for Broadband, Cable Television, Telephone and Mobile; and utilizing billing systems, including Cable Services Group (CSG), Advanced Customer Service Representative (ACSR), Cable Control System (CCS),Integrated Communications Operations Management System (ICOMS) and Am DOCS to include Accounts and Provisioning, New Connects, Change of Service, Reconnect, Equipment Swap, Office Only, Moves & Transfers, and Billing guardrails.
* A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
SALARY: $164,112 - $ 196, 400 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The base pay for this position generally is between $164,112.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
