EMPLOYER: Charter Communications, Inc.
TITLE: Principal Engineer II (Multiple Openings)
DUTIES: Responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software, and electrical systems. Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems within the Wi-Fi operations. Perform site reliability engineering and provide technical observability solutions, including dashboards, alerts, telemetry, and all visuals that support Wi-Fi products. Handle complex and critical projects that involve several technical systems and constituents. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation. Test and review system designs. Provide Engineering Technical support and guidance to regional personnel and ensure all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation are met. Review work plans and designs and advise on improvements. Provide technical observability solutions that offer detailed insights into the health and functionality of all Wi-Fi products and features, including the hardware and software. Work closely with technical operations staff on system design and configuration. Collaborate with the design teams and advise team leaders.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any) or a related field. 10 years of experience in the following: utilizing Performance Metrics such as latency, traffic, errors and saturation to optimize application performance; and performing analysis and optimization of system performance and scaling strategies for cloud services in complex enterprise production architectures. 5 years of experience in the following: evaluating system capabilities, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions that ensure efficient and reliable operations in dynamic environments; and performing Data Visualization to present data and business insights to stakeholders. 2 years of experience setting up monitoring systems to track the health of services and infrastructure.
Hybrid work arrangement is available.
SALARY: $174,068.76- $220, 000 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $174,068.76 per year.

The base pay for this position generally is between $174,068.76 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
