TITLE: Software Engineer V
DUTIES: Contribute to team responsible for maintaining the Charter infrastructure that provides big data availability for application insight and visibility, including data engineering applications for massive analytics datasets and applications that provide application management along with customer usage visibility. Utilize Terraform technology to provision and manage AWS infrastructure. Utilize Terraform, AWS, and Apache Kafka to support a real-time data streaming platform. Create and manage Chef cookbooks to be able to provision Kafka clusters. Create Gitlab pipelines that will allow for infrastructure creation automation. Create Ansible playbooks that are capable of creating and managing open-source applications on AWS EC2 instances. Utilize Linux to manage EC2 instances within AWS. Create Dockerfiles and troubleshoot running containers. Manage Gitlab pipelines and Dockerfiles in order to manage application deployment for the streaming platform. Interact, provision, and troubleshoot infrastructure running within AWS. Provision architecture in a capacity that is efficient, follows best security practices, and operates at the lowest cost. Create AWS EKS clusters and manage the Kubernetes resources that are deployed within that cluster. Connect AWS permissions to a SAML entity.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3 years of experience utilizing Terraform, AWS, or Apache Kafka to support a real-time data streaming platform. 1 year of experience utilizing Linux to manage EC2 instances within AWS; and managing Gitlab pipelines and Dockerfiles in order to manage application deployment for the streaming platform. A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $117,021 per year.
SALARY: $88,200 - $117,021 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
