APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATION
EMPLOYER: Charter Communications, Inc.
TITLE: Director, Data Platforms
DUTIES: Provide technical solutions and develop features to support Field Operations and Customer Experience tools through the translation of user needs and business requirements into high level and detailed design, solution and functional architecture and specifications. Determine opportunities for improvement to automate processes and functions. Attend story grooming meetings including requirement gathering and understand the requirements. Provide and design the technical solutions to the problem statement and requirement. Create chalk pages and document the design using the UML diagrams for the features and solutions that need to be implemented in the system. Conduct system to system API calls utilizing REST and SOAP web services. Write code using Java and Spring Boot Services. Perform web development utilizing Java and J2EE. Perform code reviews. Write database queries utilizing Oracle. Create technical Jira Stories and assign them to the team. Work with QA and UAT teams to solve the defects. Guide junior team members in case of issues that are being faced. Take care of deployments in lower environments including DEV, SIT, QA, and UAT, and create a Method of Procedure for production deployments. Supervises 2 employees (Principal Architect I and Software Engineer IV), assigns them tasks and monitors their development.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field. 4 years of experience performing web development utilizing Java and J2EE; writing database queries utilizing Oracle; and, conducting system to system API calls utilizing REST and SOAP web services. 1 year of experience performing team management including assigning tasks and monitoring development.
SALARY: $133,973 - $200,000 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
