TITLE: Software Engineer VII (Multiple Openings)
DUTIES: Develop, modify, enhance and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives for Charter’s Device Activation platform. Create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve customer experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop and implement technical solutions for applications hosted in Amazon Web Service (AWS) and On-Prem to support Mobile applications. Contribute to technical direction, execution, and support solutions deployed into production, including testing, automation, analytics, and instrumentation. Document, maintain, monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot systems. Analyze and document difficulties in existing system logic. Attend team and project meetings. Own technical decisions under pressure and tight time constraints. Establish a scope of work, implement, and maintain dashboards and alerting in Splunk and DataDog. Create and maintain relevant documentation. Contribute to the execution of proofs-of-concept for new approaches through current trends and technological innovations. Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to define and develop technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. Collaborate with business and technical teams to review conflicts/gaps between functional goals and existing capabilities. Adhere to best practices for code development, version control, continuous integration/delivery, and test/build automation. Define and evangelize mobile app and web technologies across the organization. Support API, front-end, and automated testing of software including Postman, SoapUI or Apache JMeter. Utilize Java 8, 9, or higher versions to develop and maintain Java-based applications including writing code, debugging, and troubleshooting. Identify automatable test scenarios, automation tools, and develop automation in Java. Utilize Agile development methodologies and implementing Agile model.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or a related field. 6 years of experience in: API, front-end, and automated testing of software including Postman, SoapUI, or Apache JMeter; and using Java 8, 9, or higher to develop and maintain Java-based applications, including writing code, debugging, and troubleshooting. 4 years of experience: developing and maintaining Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to visualize data and support real-time system monitoring; and identifying automatable test scenarios, automation tools, and developing automation in Java. 1 year of experience in Agile development methodologies and implementing Agile model.
Hybrid arrangement is available.
SALARY: $140,046 - $178,600 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
