TITLE: Manager, Data & Reporting

DUTIES: Oversee and administer multiple reporting applications and liaison with Charter’s application IT teams for support needs. Responsible for database development for specific reporting needs and utilize multiple database languages and structures. Monitor backend application resource allocation and performance. Develop technical designs for projects. Train team on technical processes. Develop and maintain security roles and groups for user application access. Communicate with IT support teams on any issues impacting front-end applications. Define and document requirements for new processes and reports. Build attributes, metrics, and structures needed for final reports. Connect front-end applications and back-end database systems. Troubleshoot system errors from front end applications and backend systems. Develop new database objects, jobs, and procedures in SQL, Oracle, and HANA. Document all database and report application changes for audit purposes. Code in SQL for SQL server and Oracle databases. Build reports and dashboards in Business Objects. Use and build SAP HANA database. Build report in a reporting system including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, or Power BI. Perform MicroStrategy administration including creating and managing users, security groups, subscriptions, schedules, projects, and database instances. Maintain processes for ticketing, change documentation, user validation and approval capture, and separation of duties management utilizing SOX compliance practices. Perform unit testing of the reports developed. Develop and review free form SQL queries to develop the reports and extra the necessary data to address customer business needs. Design and architect MicroStrategy schema objects such as facts, attributes, and hierarchies that support customer requirements. Analyze SQL queries and translate them into MicroStrategy visualizations and reports. Assist in functional and systems testing of integrated reporting applications, dashboards, and KPIs. Develop required documentation in support of the development lifecycle. Organize schema and public objects, attributes, metrics, and reports for ease of use.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. 3 years of experience: building reports in a reporting system including any combination of the following: Tableau, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, or Power BI; and coding in SQL for SQL server and Oracle databases. 2 years of experience in: MicroStrategy administration including creating and managing users, security groups, subscriptions, schedules, projects, and database instances; building reports and dashboards in Business Objects; and maintaining processes for ticketing, change documentation, user validation and approval capture, and separation of duties management utilizing SOX compliance practices. 1 year of experience using and building SAP HANA database. A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.

SALARY: $105,851 - $159,400 per year

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
